If you prefer the great outdoors, there are than 70 beaches in Sydney, as well as the scenic Blue Mountains; to the west, and national parks to the north and south. The vineyards of the Hunter Valley and the adrenaline-charged slopes of the Snowy Mountains are within 5 hours drive.
