About the scholarship

The ISSP Indigenous Commonwealth Education Costs Scholarship, funded by the Commonwealth Government, assists Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who demonstrate financial hardship with the costs of relocation and higher education.

Duration

This scholarship is awarded for up to 4 years, provided you continue to meet eligibility criteria.

Criteria

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be an Australian citizen
  • Identify as an Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
  • Be a commencing or continuing full-time student in an undergraduate degree at Macquarie University
  • Be able to demonstrate financial hardship
  • Be from a regional or rural area

How to apply

Applications are available via the UAC Equity Scholarship Application Portal. Macquarie University will be participating in the following Equity Scholarship (ES) Offer Rounds for course commencement in Session 2 2024:

  • July Round 2: Apply by Friday, 12 July 2024 11:59pm
  • Make sure to submit your application as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
  • Only one application is required for the admission year. The application will remain active and will be considered again in each offer round in the current admissions period.
