Scholarships

Each year Macquarie University awards around $6 million in scholarships, most of which are given on the basis of academic merit, diversity, leadership capabilities, financial hardship and/or key achievements such as sports and voluntary experience.

• International scholarships and grants

  Macquarie has one of the most generous scholarship programs in Australia, providing many opportunities each year to international students to undertake studies here.

• Domestic scholarships and grants

  Macquarie University offers a range of scholarships and grants for domestic students. Most have a strong emphasis on social inclusion and equity and are awarded on the basis of financial need and/or other hardship. Others recognise factors such as academic excellence or sporting achievement.
