Become a Co-op student

Be financially-supported to develop professional skills and network for your future

About Co-op

The Cooperative Education program will provide you with the opportunity to improve your employability outcomes and professional networks (see becoming a Co-op partner).

As a Co-op student, you’ll alternate between classroom studies with practical workplace experience, while receiving financial support from our partner organisations.

We currently offer an Actuarial Studies Co-op and an Accounting Co-op.

Why Co-op?

Undertaking practical experience with leading organisations means you’ll develop in-demand skills such as communication, creativity, ethical practice and leadership. Your learning will be further enhanced via classroom-based reflective tasks designed to prepare you for the real-world workplace.

"Macquarie's Co-op Program gives me the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical environment, thereby developing analytical, leadership and teamwork skills which I can leverage in my future career."

Annie Lin, 2019 Actuarial Studies Co-op student

“Macquarie’s Accounting Co-op Program has given me the opportunity to explore a range of career pathways at three different organisations. The practical experience, mentoring and networking opportunities which are offered provides accelerated career progression enhancing my employability.”

Mathew Hildebrand, 2019 Accounting Co-op student
