Macquarie University Parents Group
Parents Group is a support network designed to bring families of Macquarie students and members of the local community together. Macquarie students, the community and extended family and friends are welcome to participate.
This Parents Group gives the participants as parents an opportunity to share their experience and tips with each other and thus make new friends from around the world. Further, the children get an opportunity to play with a variety of toys and read books and have lots of fun together.
You may see a free magazine called Sydney's Child in schools, pre-schools, day care centres, Doctors' offices, family friendly businesses and Libraries. It has a lot of useful information about activities and resources for children, as well as some articles about current issues.
The NSW Education and Communities webpage provides practical information for parents covers your child's key transitions from preschool through to high school and beyond. This site also features a school locator that can help to locate a school in your local area.
The NSW Government Families and Communities provides tips, advice and guidelines for parents and carers.
Childcare NSW provides a list of quality childcare centres that are available in your local area.
