Virtual Short Term Study Abroad - ACICIS - Indonesian Language Short Course 2021 (January/February)

Running in three-week sessions during university vacation periods, students can undertake the program either to fast-track or supplement language studies at their home university, or, for those students exploring an emerging interest in Indonesia, as an immersive introduction to the Indonesian language.

The program consists of intensive Indonesian language tuition incorporating language classes and interactive cultural experiences. Students may take either a single three-week course, or two consecutive three-week courses to create a six-week program of study (January-February only).

The ILSC can be undertaken as either a three- or six- week program of study structured as follows:

  • A three-week intensive language course (approximately 140 hours total time commitment) delivered online by Satya Wacana Christian University (UKSW);
    or
  • Two consecutive three-week intensive language courses (approximately 280 hours total time commitment) delivered online by UKSW.

Program Funding

New Colombo Plan Mobility Grants available for eligible students*:
- $1600 for participation in 1 x three-week program
- $3000 for participation in 2 x three-week programs

International Mobility Funding of $250 available (for students not eligible for NCP funding)

Note: NCP funding is not granted in conjunction with the International Mobility Funding and students will only receive one type of funding which is dependant on which funding they are eligible for.

To be eligible for this program, you must meet the following:

  • Macquarie Abroad General Eligibility Criteria
  • Nomination from Macquarie University
  • English language proficiency for non-native speakers
  • Review the course information and restricted courses to check it is suitable for your degree progression at Macquarie University
