Short Term Study Abroad - Kyung Hee University (July)
Established in 1949, Kyung Hee University is a one of South Korea’s top universities. Its renowned Global Collaborative Summer Program, taught by a faculty team of internationally renowned scholars including executive members of the UN & CoNGO, attracts students from all over the world to study in Korea’s capital Seoul.
During the summer program, you will have the opportunity to choose from a wide range of undergraduate courses and take an extra week of excursions and cultural activities to learn Korean language, Asian history or even Taekwondo!
The Global Korean Popular Culture course are taught by Dr Sarah Keith from Macquarie University’s Department of Media, Music, Communication and Cultural Studies. | Grant | Australian students who take the Global Korean Popular Culture course are eligible for $3000 New Colombo Plan (NCP). 9 scholarships are available. All the other students (including domestic and international students) can get $800 Macquarie International (MI) Travel Grant. Note: NCP scholarship recipients are not eligible for MI Travel Grant. |

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this program, you must:
- Enrolled into an undergraduate degree at Macquarie
- Students must have minimum WAM of 60 at time of assessment
- Completed a minimum 18cp at time of assessment
- Pay the $50 Application Fee
- Satisfy other criteria specified in the Student Exchange Policy

For all exchange programs (semester and short term), there is a compulsory application fee. For more information and payment options please refer to the Cost and Funding Website.
Airfare: subject to change depending on time of booking. Students should not book until they receive official acceptance from Kyung Hee University
It is a requirement of the exchange program that all students must purchase their own travel insurance to cover them for the duration of their entire journey overseas. More information will be given to students upon acceptance.
This is a fee-paying program, all students must pay the program fee under the instruction of the host university.
