Step 1: Research your course options
Find courses that interest you by searching our undergraduate courses.
Step 2: Check the entry requirements
See if your current qualification is recognised for entry into our programs and convert your current qualification score into an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) on our Academic Requirements page.
If you do not meet the entry requirements for the course of your first preference, you will be considered for your second and third preferences. If you do not meet the entry requirements for any of your preferences, you may automatically be considered for a pathway program through Macquarie University International College (MUIC).
All international students at Macquarie are required to provide evidence of proficiency in English.
If you have studied at another tertiary academic institution, you may be eligible for recognition for prior learning (RPL) towards your degree at Macquarie University.
Step 3: Submit your application
Apply early! Remember that places are limited in all programs, especially popular degrees. It is a good idea to apply at least two to three months before Session begins, in order to avoid disappointment, and to give you enough time to organise your student visa.
Apply straight to Macquarie University via our dedicated international online application manager.
Apply through UAC International
If you are an international applicant currently completing:
- an Australian Year 12 qualification.
- the International Baccalaureate (IB)
- the New Zealand NCEA Level 3 qualification.
You can apply through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) - UAC International.
Apply through an authorised agent
You may submit your application form either through one of Macquarie University's nominated representatives in your country.
