Direct applicants

International students who are applying direct to Macquarie University need to complete the following steps to accept their offer.

Step 1 - Pay your Commencement Fee

Submit payment of your:

Step 2 - Email the required documents back to your admissions officer

Acceptance documents checklist

  • Completed and signed Acceptance of Offer form
  • Evidence of payment for Total Amount Payable
  • Copy of passport identification page (if not provided already)
  • Completed Scholarship Acceptance form (if applicable)
  • International under 18 welfare arrangement form (if applicable)

Step 3 - Accept

If you are applying via an educational agent, give your original completed forms to your agent (make sure you keep copies for yourself). If you are applying directly to Macquarie, post your original completed forms to Macquarie International.

Apply for your student visa

You can apply for a visa by submitting an electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE) to the Immigration Office in your nearest Australian Overseas Diplomatic Mission

An electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE) will be issued once Macquarie University has received your:

  • Completed and signed Acceptance of Offer form
  • Evidence of payment for Total Amount Payable
  • Copy of passport identification page (if not provided already)
  • Completed Scholarship Acceptance form (if applicable)
  • International under 18 welfare arrangement form (if applicable)

Student visas carry certain conditions, for example students have to study full-time, and cannot change institution within the first year of their programs. To find out more about student visa conditions please refer to the Department of Home Affairs

How to defer, change or decline your offer

If you wish to decline your offer, please email us at mi.admissions@mq.edu.au or contact the Macquarie Admissions Contact person listed on your offer letter.

Don't forget to include your full name and Student ID in all correspondence.
