Collaboration and convenience

Transform your learning experience with flexible online study from Macquarie University and Open Universities Australia (OUA).

Study Macquarie units via OUA to learn without needing to set foot on campus. Most units only require online assessments, so you can study from your home or office whenever suits you.

You’ll be:

  • supported, engaged and challenged throughout your study
  • taught by staff with industry experience
  • able stay in touch with your classmates via online collaborative tools in your easy-to-navigate study portal.

Study options

Once you’ve commenced your online study with us, you can continue your degree online or start studying a Macquarie University course on campus.

Note: current high school students completing OUA units must successfully complete Year 12 before your OUA results can be considered for articulation into a degree at Macquarie University.

Undergraduate

You can articulate into the Macquarie OUA Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of History, Bachelor of ScienceBachelor of Criminology or Bachelor of Security Studies if you have completed either:

  • Two OUA Undergraduate subjects from any OUA provider and a total WAM of 65 or higher, OR;
  • Any four OUA units from any OUA provider with a pass grade

You can articulate into the Macquarie OUA Diploma of Health Sciences if you have completed:

  • Any two of the eight Open Access pathway units offered within the Diploma of Health Sciences, OR;
  • Studies equivalent to an ATAR of 80 or above

You can articulate into the Macquarie OUA Bachelor of Psychology by completing either:

  • A mark of 65 or above in one of the following units: PSYX1101 or PSYX1102 or PSYX1100, OR;
  • Two OUA Undergraduate subjects from any OUA provider and a total WAM of 65 or higher

Postgraduate

We offer a wide range of postgraduate courses and individual units through OUA. Areas of study include Security, Policy, Criminology, Intelligence, Creative Writing and Finance.

You can articulate into the on-campus Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of History, Bachelor of Criminology, Bachelor of Security Studies or Bachelor of Science by completing either:

  • two Macquarie-OUA units with a total WAM of 65 or higher, OR
  • four Macquarie-OUA units with a pass grade.

You can articulate into the on campus Bachelor of Psychology by completing either:

  • Two Macquarie Psychology OUA units such as PSYX1100, PSYX1101, PSYX1102, MHHX1003, MHHX1004, MHHX1005, MHHX1006 or MHXX1008 with a total WAM of 65 or above,  OR
  • Four of the above OUA Psychology units with a pass grade,  OR
  • Completion of the Macquarie OUA Diploma of Health Sciences.
