Our award-winning Speech and Hearing Clinic offers our Master of Clinical Audiology and Master of Speech and Language Pathology students excellent clinical training opportunities in a mentored environment.
The clinic offers best practice, independent services for all ages, from babies to seniors, providing our students the opportunity to gain clinical and communication skills for confident clinical practice.
Located at the internationally renowned Australian Hearing Hub, students will be practicing at the centre of innovation in hearing, language and communication research and development. Our clinic is purpose built to provide the highest levels of comfort and professional care. It offers students state-of-the-art assessment equipment, tools and research, not always available in other private or public clinics.
Students practicing in the clinic are supervised by fully qualified specialists who are proficient in a wide variety of fields of speech pathology and audiology including clinical education and research. Their mentors include specialists in:
- the assessment and treatment of voice and stuttering
- paediatric and adult speech language and swallowing disorders.
- auditory processing disorders
- assessment and rehabilitation of tinnitus
- vestibular and electrophysiological assessments
- paediatric assessment
- a full range of assessment and intervention options for adults with hearing loss.
Clinical work experience are extended to providing inpatient speech service to Macquarie University Hospital. Master of Clinical Audiology students may also be placed in another clinic at a major hospital located in a key population growth area of Sydney.
