Academic Entry Program
What is it?
Our Academic Entry Program matches your strengths to our world-class courses. The program considers your performance in individual subjects and matches your strengths to a course that suits you.
We review your results for the NSW HSC Board Developed Courses (Category A subjects only) that correspond to select Macquarie degrees and make an offer dependent on your performance in these subjects. The program is available for 96 Macquarie courses for 2020 entry.
Who you are
You're currently completing an Australian Year 12 Higher School Certificate (HSC) in the year prior to your intended year of admission to Macquarie.
What you can study
How you apply
There’s no need to apply separately for this entry program. Once you’ve submitted your application to the Universities Admission Centre (UAC), we’ll be able to assess your HSC results against your Macquarie preferences.
We'll consider your highest eligible preference in UAC.
Hear from our students
During Year 12, I became aware of Macquarie’s Academic Entry Program, which matches your strengths to their courses. Because of my abilities and interest in areas relating to law and psychology, I was able to take advantage of this program and pursue these interests at Macquarie. This program has allowed me to build on my strengths and reach my full potential.
