About the scholarship

The Master of Education with a specialisation in Education Leadership is designed to empower high-achieving professionals in the education sector to accelerate their careers through the Master’s program at Macquarie University. As aspiring or current leaders of education, it is hoped that our scholars would become key Alumni contacts for the school and University after graduation, and inspire and lead those from a low social economic or disadvantaged background.

Duration

One-off award paid in the first study period.

Criteria

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen; the holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa; or be an international student holding a valid temporary entry visa (student visa).
• Be commencing or continuing full-time in the Master of Education with a specialisation in Education Leadership in Session 2 2026.
• Demonstrated record of high academic achievement.

How to apply

Applications available via Macquarie University Scholarship Application. Applicants must include the following documentation in their application:

• Up to date CV or resume.
• Two (2) Reference Letters - one from an academic source (e.g. school principal) and one from another person who can comment on your suitability for this scholarship (must be dated at least within 12 months).
• Academic merit will be assessed based on qualification used as a basis for admission into the course (for commencing students) or course WAM at the time of assessment (for continuing students).
