This merit-based admission pathway considers your performance in specific Year 12 subjects that align with your chosen Macquarie degree.
Eligibility
You must have:
- successfully completed the New South Wales HSC (or equivalent interstate qualification) or the International Baccalaureate (IB) in 2026
- studied a minimum of three HSC Board Developed Courses (or equivalent interstate subjects or IB subjects), including English. Eligible subjects and required minimum bands vary by degree.
How to apply
- Include at least one Macquarie undergraduate course in your UAC preferences.
- A separate application isn’t required – you’ll automatically be considered if you don’t meet the ATAR requirements for your preferred course.

All undergraduate degrees and diplomas are available via this entry pathway, except:
- Bachelor of Actuarial Studies with Professional Practice (Honours)
- Bachelor of Clinical Science leading to Doctor of Physiotherapy
- Bachelor of Clinical Science leading to Master of Clinical Audiology
- Bachelor of Clinical Science leading to Master of Speech and Language Pathology
- Bachelor of Clinical Science leading to Master of Public Health
- Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) – StepAhead Program
