Educational access and equity

We offer equity-based adjustment factors that can be added to your ATAR to boost your selection rank.

Educational Access Scheme

This scheme recognises that circumstances beyond your control may have impacted your Year 11 and/or Year 12 studies.

The awarding of adjustment factors under this scheme does not guarantee admission into a degree.

You can receive up to a maximum of 10 points.

Applications open on 8 April 2026 and close on 5 February 2027.

You must be undertaking the New South Wales HSC (or equivalent interstate qualification) or the International Baccalaureate (IB) in 2026, and identify with one or more of the following:

  • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
  • culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) background
  • financial hardship or complex personal circumstances
  • illness or disability
  • low socio-economic background
  • regional or remote residence.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants are encouraged to apply for this scheme, as well as Macquarie’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Entry Pathway.
