Alan Domer - Business and Economics

Alan Dormer leads a multi-disciplinary team of researchers at CSIRO who bring science to Australia's growing services sector. His team is dedicated to applied research in government services, finance, supply chain, retail and disaster management. Key areas of research are evidence based policy and decision support, service delivery transformation and customer centric/citizen centric services.

He has over 20 years experience of delivering business benefits through innovation and technology. He started his career in insurance and subsequently worked in engineering, consulting, software development, project management and most recently research.

Originally from the UK, Alan has also worked in Japan and North America. Alan has a degree in Mathematics and a Masters in Control Systems. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology, and a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers.
