Whatever your research interest or career path, the Biomolecular Frontiers Research Centre offers opportunities for pioneering scholarship.

The ‘omics’ are at the core of the biological sciences in the 21st century, and are highly attractive to postgraduate and PhD students.

We host a significant number of higher degree research students from Australia and overseas. Our senior researchers mentor and supervise HDR students, working closely to help them achieve their academic and research goals.
Scholarships and support

Integrated research programs

We address all areas of genomics, proteomics, glycomics, microbiology, biotechnology, agriscience, biochemistry and their application in the environment and human health. This diverse program will appeal to students interested in applying a mix of scientific approaches and techniques to biomolecular study.

PhD requirements

The degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) requires preparation of a thesis that is subject to external examination. Please email the Higher Degree Research Office to obtain more information: hdrfuture@mq.edu.au.
