Daniel Leong is currently examining the use of Sensory Integration therapy in special education, focusing on special education teachers in Malaysia. He was previously a special education teacher in Malaysia himself before continuing his studies with Macquarie University and eventually embarking on this project for his PhD. While focusing on his PhD he is taking temporary lecturing positions in Malaysian universities, and hopes to be able to contribute to the field in his home country in the future.
