Macquarie Online Test Interface (MOTIf)
Over many years, reading researchers at MQ have been developing experimental tests to support their research. Many of these tools have clinical and educational applications, and hence have attracted the attention of clinicians and teachers. By 2008, the demand for wider access to these tools became so great that we started to explore new ways to make our tests available to trained professionals in the community. MQCR researchers teamed up with SciPilot to build the Macquarie Online Test Interface (MOTIf; www.motif.org.au). MOTIf provides teachers, clinicians, and researchers with free access to theoretically-based assessments developed by MQCR researchers. Some can be administered and scored online, providing an excellent resource for professionals working in rural and remote communities. MOTIf has proved remarkably popular, with thousands of registered users from all over the world.
