Link between home care hours, social support and entry to residential care

An article published in Australian Ageing Agenda discusses research into the link between home care hours, social support and entry to residential care, conducted by Dr Mikaela Jorgensen and the Safety and integration of aged and community care team from the Centre for Health Systems and Safety Research. The study found that each additional hour of service received per week was associated with a 6 per cent lower risk of entry into permanent care.
