The 2018 Masterclass
Leading international experts in patient safety are coming together for a unique one-day Masterclass on Friday 7 December at the Australian Institute of Health Innovation, Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia.
The Masterclass is open to academics, policy makers, clinicians, administrators and others interested in shifting the paradigm on patient safety. A full program can be found here. Registrations are now open.
Faculty members are:
A lead editor of the Resilient Health Care series of books and author of more than 500 publications including articles from recognised journals, conference papers, and reports, as well as twenty-four books. Professor Hollnagel has been President of the European Association of Cognitive Ergonomics (1994 – 2000) as well as co-founder and past President of the Resilience Engineering Association.
A lead editor of the Resilient Health Care series of books and an internationally recognised expert in health services and systems research, with over 500 publications. Professor Braithwaite's expertise is in the culture and structure of acute settings, leadership, management and change in health sector organisations, and quality and safety in healthcare; he is President-Elect of the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua).
A specialist in health systems research with multiple academic outputs including chapters and journal articles, whose expertise in human factors and resilience engineering, entails developing cross industry theoretical frameworks to describe system level behaviour and advancing new human factors contributions to safety in complex socio-technical systems.
