NEW TECHNOLOGY AND SUCCESSFUL SERVICES

In 2018 we continued to provide a wide variety of services, to a diverse range of clients, both from research institutions and industry.  Quantitative proteomics analysis services such as SWATH and TMT, and Amino acid analysis (AAA) were APAF’s three main workhorses this year. APAF remains the key provider of SWATH services nationwide. Of note, APAF and the mass spectrometry provider SCIEX have started their new chapter of collaboration, which is specifically focused on method optimisation and development for achieving greater data quality and reproducibility.

Similarly, APAF provides Amino Acid Analysis services to more than 400 industry clients annually, which make it one of the largest providers of Amino Acid Analysis nationally and possibly globally.  In 2017, about half of APAF services were allocated to the clients from industry sectors, while the other half was distributed across different academic institutions and organisations.
