The Commodity Markets Conference is a two-day event dedicated to high-quality research in all areas of economics and finance related to commodity markets, with an emphasis on the Australasian aspects of commodity markets and energy risk.
Since 2017, the conference has:
- been organised by researchers from Macquarie University
- been held in junction with various academic journals
- featured keynote speakers from across the globe.
The centre collaborates with global universities and organisations to organise industry-relevant workshops, where experts from around the world discuss challenges, risks and opportunities across a variety of sectors. Previous workshops include:
- Stochastic modelling in climate risk: Financial mathematics and economics
- Measuring economic uncertainty and crisis risk in the Asian region
- Frontiers in econometrics
- PhD workshop.
The centre has a strong network of external researchers and partners who visit the University and present seminars on their research. Past seminars include:
