The disruptions to labour markets brought about by automation challenge the very value of work, the idea that work is a central vector of social inclusion and personal development. This ARC-funded project seeks to map out and respond to the arguments against the value and centrality of work. The PhD research will complement the project, either by focusing on key authors or by exploring specific themes.

This scholarship is available to eligible candidates to undertake a direct entry 3-year PhD program.
The scholarship is comprised of a Living Allowance Stipend and a Tuition Fee Offset scholarship. The value and tenure of the scholarship is at the full-time stipend rate of $28,092 per annum (2020 rate, tax exempt for up to 3 years and indexed annually).
