The SmartSat CRC invites expressions of interest for Higher Degree by Research (Masters & PhD) scholarships commencing in 2020. Successful candidates will be enrolled with a SmartSat university partner (e.g. Macquarie University) and will work on applied R&D which align with our research programs.

Topics Include:

* advanced communications & IoT connectivity

* advanced satellite systems

* sensors & AI

* next generation earth observation remote sensing analytics & data services

* space cybersecurity systems and space governance

Generous full scholarships or top-up scholarship stipends will be offered to suitably qualified applicants of both PhD or Masters by research programs.

Scholarships are available for Australian residents. Non-residents will be considered, subject to project specific requirements. Australian citizenship may be required for projects with specific industry partners.

Applicants should have a first-class honours degree, or equivalent, in a related discipline.

This scholarship is available to eligible candidates to undertake a direct entry 3-year PhD program, or a Master of Research (MRes) year 2 entry.

Applicants can be International or Domestic (Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or New Zealand citizens).

Scholarship Components

The value and tenure of the scholarship is a “MQRES” full-time stipend rate of $28,092 per annum (in 2020 tax exempt for up to 3 years - indexed annually). Possible top-up funding and tuition-fee offset is also available.
