Make our Planet Great Again programs

Project Description:

Applications for the Make Our Planet Great Again initiative are underway, inviting students and researchers from all over the world to come to France to lead the fight against climate change.

The initiative was first launched by President Emmanuel Macron in 2017 following the decision of the United States to withdraw from the Paris Agreement. Make our planet great again aims to help mobilise all those wishing to study, commit themselves to projects, carry on research and take action for the protection of our planet.

Specifically aimed at students and researchers seeking to study and research themes based in earth systems, climate change and sustainability, or the energy transition, there are numerous financing possibilities to come to France, including monthly scholarships, airfares and insurance, as well as funding support for institutions hosting PhDs and post-doctoral candidates.

Value and Tenure:

  • 50 master’s grants of €1,060 (approx. AUD 1690) per month
  • 20 doctoral grants of €50,000 (≈AUD 80,000) over three years
