International students will need to apply for a student visa in order to come to Australia to study. There are different types of student visas (subclass). The Master of Research program requires a Student Visa Subclass 574 – Postgraduate Research. Students will also need to check the Risk Assessment Level of their country when applying for the student visa, as there are different requirements for different Assessment Levels. Assessment levels can be viewed at the Department of Immigration and Citizenship’s (DIAC) website.
