Tomsk State University (TSU) International Research Summer School on Biodiversity (July 10-July 24, 2018)
The TSU International Research Summer School on Biodiversity (July 10-July 24, 2018) will be held at TSU Aktru Research Station, in the Altai Republic, Russia, close to the borders of Mongolia and China in the centre of the Eurasian Continent.
The Aktru Reseach Station is surrounded by a wide range of ecosystems changing with altitude: Kuray basin intermountain steppe, steppe belt on the mountain slopes, forest belt, high mountain belt with alpine landscapes and glaciers, high-mountain tundra as well as cryophyte steppe landscapes.
The research focuses on glaciology, hydrology, meteorology, geomorphology, ecology, botany, zoology and soil science. It is suitable for international students and young scientists (30 spots; age range 18-35 years).

Value and Tenure:
Summer School Fee of USD 800 (for self-funding applicants) includes tuition, study materials, field trip expenses, social and cultural programme, airport transfers, accommodation at the Aktru Research Station, carriage, camping, food and registration.
Other important information:
To participate in the school, students should fill in an application form (p. 13 in the booklet), a TSU visa application form and send them together with a soft copy of the first page of their passports to firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
