Providing enabling support for all aspects of research

Research Services works in partnership with colleagues across the University’s research ecosystem.

We deliver the following research support services:

  • Research grant development – providing strategic advice to researchers in support of attracting external funding; contributing to developing the quality and success of funding applications to build, grow and diversify the University’s research impact.
  • Research awards management – accountable for the provision of consistent, high quality, customer focused support to Macquarie researchers who have been successful in obtaining external research funding, and those unfunded research projects that have specific regulatory requirements.
  • Research ethics and integrity – fostering a culture of responsible research across the University – including responsibility for matters of research integrity, animal welfare, driving the implementation of research data management, supporting arrangements with international research collaborators, and supporting our ethics (and other regulatory) committees.
  • National security and defence – assisting staff to understand and comply with their obligations under ‘security focused’ Australian legislation.
  • Research infrastructure – coordinating and leading the management and operation of strategically important, university-hosted, research infrastructure.
