Revisiting the 2006 Innovation Awards

Time-gated luminescence was the winner of the 2006 Innovation Awards. Jin Dayong under the supervision Dr Russell Connally and Professor Jim Piper won awards for his PhD research project “time-gated fluorescence flow cytometry” in the categories of the Innovation Disclosure Award, the Postgraduate Award and the Innovative Research Award.

2006 was also the year BluGlass Ltd won the Commercial Innovation Award for their commercial applications relating to light emitting diodes research.

Dr Peter Langford won the Innovative Partnership Award for his work on Voice Project, a research program turned company in Research Park that consults around the world on engagement, leadership and service quality.
