MND Gala Dinner
On 17 June, the annual Macquarie University MND Gala raised a whopping $146,000 for vital MND research at a sold-out event at the Art Gallery of NSW.

The live auction was the big winner of the night, raising $100,000. A calf from Professor Dominic Rowe’s farm proved so popular at auction he offered a second one. The little moos – which will remain on Prof Rowe’s farm, living lives of comfort – raised $15,000 each.
Funds raised assists the MND Research Centre to understand this awful disease and help get a step closer to finding a cure to ease the suffering MND patients endure.
Guests could bid on silent auction items, buy raffle tickets, bid in a live auction, buy a key in the lucky key draw or simply make a donation.
They were treated to a sit-down dinner with entertainment by the Rodric White Trio.
Other prizes included: one week’s accommodation for two at Earl’s Anchorage, Lord Howe Island, Margan winery experience and overnight accommodation at
the Red Tractor Retreat for two, and 18ct gold designer ring worth $3500.
