Thank you to Mark Anderson, National Chief Security Officer, Microsoft who gave a talk yesterday on 'Defending Ukraine: Early Lessons from the Cyber War'
A fascinating talk with a captivated audience generating an interesting Q&A. Mark spoke of how cyber is the fifth domain of warfare alongside air, sea, land, and space, and the role it plays in modern conflict. Amongst many things, he touched on the introduction and participation of non-state actors, such as technology companies, which has brought a new dimension to conflict in the interconnected world.
Mark provided an overview of the observations and lessons learnt to-date from Microsoft’s participation in the grey-zone of the Russia/Ukraine conflict.
On behalf of the Macquarie University Cyber Security Hub, we appreciate your time and we look forward to welcoming you again.
