The MQBS Global MBA, which only began in May 2019, also achieved Global Tier One Status and was ranked sixth internationally by the magazine.
CEO Magazine received submissions from more than 160 global institutions – including 12 from Australia – representing more than 300 programs across 27 countries.
Macquarie University Vice-Chancellor Professor S. Bruce Dowton commended the achievement.
“This accolade is unprecedented. I commend all the staff involved in developing, delivering and supporting the program, and believe the achievement is demonstrative of the entrepreneurial culture of Macquarie Business School,” Professor Dowton says.
The Global MBA, which is offered in partnership with the online learning platform Coursera, redefines the traditional barriers to entry and makes MBA learning more accessible, inclusive, and responsive to learner needs.
CEO Magazine has been showcasing top business schools from around the globe since it first launched in 2008. In 2012, the publication launched its annual Global MBA Rankings, profiling MBA, Executive MBA and Online MBA programs.
