Macquarie University has announced the appointment of Tim Hume as its Chief Information Officer, commencing on 1 November.

Tim brings over 25 years’ experience in senior leadership roles across public and private sectors. He has been in the role of Interim CIO at Macquarie since the end of June and was previously CIO at the NSW Department of Family and Community Services and was also the inaugural Chair of the NSW Public Sector Community of ICT Professionals.

“I’m delighted to welcome Tim into the role of CIO,” said Nicole Gower, the University’s Vice-President, People and Services. “His experience and insight will be highly valuable as we continue the transformation of our technology platforms and the digital experience for students, staff and members of our University community.”
