Whether you’re a future student pursuing your dream career, or simply curious about university life beyond the classroom, it’s the season to explore Macquarie University. Unlock your future on Saturday 19 August at the 2017 Open Day on our North Ryde Campus.

As well as providing the opportunity for visitors to tour the campus and meet with Macquarie’s academics, mentors, and student groups in person, visitors can step straight into live demonstrations, state-of-the-art facilities or mini-lectures that directly explore Macquarie’s specialty research areas and unique study offerings.

Be inspired by our soon-to-be-launched Incubator – and come in for a sneaky pre-launch tour – where today’s innovators can become tomorrow’s business owners. The space has been designed to nurture and equip budding entrepreneurs as they grow a business idea or social venture into a successful start-up. The incubator has already assisted with the launch of several small businesses, whose owners will be on site to network and answer questions.

In the central courtyard, dance up a storm in a dance revolution machine (a retro arcade game), and pick up a Spotify voucher courtesy of event sponsor Optus, who will also be on hand to discuss their double data offer. Or, enjoy a Napoleon Perdis make-up touch-up or demonstration, grab a sample, and sign up for an exclusive offer for students and alumni. Napoleon Perdis is himself one of our proud alumni.

Step into our Anechoic Chamber - where all echoes and sound reverberations are absorbed and eerily absent – and learn about how our on-campus Australian Hearing Hub unites a variety of disciplines in the hearing, speech and language space to improve Australia’s hearing health. Free hearing screening tests are also available.

Attend bespoke lectures on topics ranging from the darknet and data theft, to modern day marketing and consumer behaviour, environmental science in a changing climate, and what’s new in Ancient History (and don’t forget to visit our Museum of Ancient Cultures). There will also be information sessions introducing opportunities for overseas exchange, scholarships, and other ways to enhance the student experience.
