Professor John Simons, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) at Macquarie University, said the College was privileged to have attracted such an experienced inaugural director.

“Even though we have been arguably Australia’s most international university for well over a decade, with more than 150,000 alumni around the world and an established global reputation, deciding to establish our own on-campus international college has been a bold move,” he says.

“Critical to the College’s success will be having the right staff in place, and I am extremely happy that we have started that process so well with the recruitment of Jake Garman.”

Garman will commence in his new role on 2 March, 2015.
