I am deeply saddened to hear the passing of Penelope. My thoughts go out to her family and close friends. A true academic and inspiration to all who knew her. By far the most encouraging and innovative teacher at Macquarie University. Not only did I have the pleasure of her teaching me Remedies, I also had the privilege to teach Torts with her many years after I graduated. In fact, my entire teaching career would never happened if Penelope never gave me a chance to teach back in 2003. I have taught thousands and thousands of students since. I am forever grateful for all she has done. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Adrian Coorey.

Penelope was always a happy teacher ,very good hearted and with a kind disposition towards her students. I believe she taught me torts in 1979 and I still remember her classes fondly ;in particular, the kindness and smiles she blessed us with.Rest in peace and thank you Penny.

I am shocked and deeply saddened to hear of the passing of the most wonderful teacher I have ever had. I was a student of this most beautiful and inspiring lady. Penelope conveyed her sheer enthusiasm in every single one of her torts classes at Macquarie. I have never forgotten her. It is with immense sadness and huge sense of loss as I write this. Penelope encouraged us all to go back to the university to see her and it is with great sadness that I failed to do so. My heart goes out to her family and her friends. I will never forget her.

Truly a great loss to the Macquarie community. She was truly an inspirational teacher who pushed her students to achieve their best. I remember her from law203 which was my favorite subject while I was at university. She had a really good understanding of teaching and how to motivate students. She was one of a kind and will be missed.

I have wonderful memories of Pene, who taught me Remedies at Macquarie in either 1979 or 1980. She was a vibrant person and a great teacher. Pene is one of those teachers, whom you never forget. I am the richer for knowing her and being one of her students.

My deepest sympathy to her family and colleagues at Macquarie Law School.

I graduated from Macquarie Law School in 2007. Penelope was by far the best, and most inspirational, lecturer that I had during my time there. Her Advanced Torts course was wonderful.

Her death is a very sad loss.

Requiescat in pace.
