Macquarie Business School Insider – June 2025
In this edition, read about our latest industry collaborations, rankings success and achievements.

Message from the Executive Dean
Dear alumni, partners and friends,
Welcome to the June edition of Insider. It’s been a busy and successful first half of the year at Macquarie Business School.
It has been energising to host industry leaders for several recent School events. I especially want to highlight the IPP Employability Summit and to thank all who participated. The event explored the future of work — a landscape undergoing profound transformation through artificial intelligence and automation. It was a thought-provoking session, and I encourage you to explore the key takeaways.
Our reputation for delivering world-class education remains stronger than ever. I am proud to share that Macquarie Business School ranked #2 in Australia and #17 globally in the 2025 CEO Magazine Online MBA Rankings. Our on-campus MBA has once again earned Tier One status, placing us among the world’s top business schools. This success reflects the excellence and commitment of our academics, professional teams, and MBA community.
Our research impact also continues to grow. Congratulations to Honorary Professor Dr Andreas Furche, recipient of the 2025 Cooperative Research Australia Award for Impact, recognising his national leadership in shaping Australia’s digital-finance landscape. The innovations he has championed have resulted in national and international impact measured in billions of dollars, and exemplify the translational research ethos of Macquarie Business School.
We’re also proud to once again support the Committee for Sydney as Major Partner of the 2025 Sydney Awards. I’m honoured to join the judging panel for these prestigious awards, which celebrate the people and projects shaping a better future for our city.
Finally, we look forward to welcoming industry partners to our premier event of the year – the Dean’s Excellence Awards on 14 July – an opportunity to celebrate valued collaborators and foster new connections.
We appreciate your continued support. Stay connected between editions by following us on LinkedIn.
Best regards,
Leonie Tickle
