Our programs are designed and delivered by experienced finance professionals – ensuring you’ll gain practical, applied knowledge you can immediately rely on in the workplace.
Candidates for the Master of Applied Finance and the Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance should have two or more years’ relevant professional work experience (with alternative entry pathways available for candidates of the same calibre).
This ensures there is a consistent base level of understanding among each cohort, and creates a meaningful, rigorous and interactive learning environment – in which you’ll not only learn from our teaching faculty, but from your peers in the industry.
Sharing a classroom with other industry professionals gives you the opportunity to form lifelong professional connections.
I knew that if I wanted to be a senior executive, I needed to understand and speak the language of finance. The skills and knowledge the MAF course has given me will be critical for obtaining the rewarding senior leadership roles that interest me.
Student support
We ensure current students have the assistance they need throughout their study and are provided a range of experiences and opportunities, including invitations to events from Macquarie Applied Finance Centre and Macquarie University.

Flexible study options
We understand that juggling postgraduate study, work and personal responsibilities can require flexibility. That's why we offer the majority of our units on a hybrid basis: that means you can study online or in-person.
