As Executive Dean, I am proud to share the Macquarie Business School Strategic Framework 2026–2030.
Our world is undergoing unprecedented transformation. Accelerating digital innovation, the emergence of artificial intelligence, shifting demographic patterns, evolving economic paradigms, and heightened expectations for social and environmental responsibility are reshaping every sector of society.
These forces demand new models of education, research, partnership, and leadership that are adaptive, visionary, and deeply committed to the public good. In this context, business schools have a critical role to play, not only in responding to these global challenges, but in actively shaping the solutions that will define our collective future.
Macquarie Business School is poised for the opportunities ahead. Building on the success of our 2019–2025 strategy, the Strategic Framework 2026-2030 now sees us focus on four interconnected domains: Transformative Education, Future-shaping Research, Impactful Partnerships, and Empowering Excellence. Together, these domains express who we are, what we stand for, and how we contribute to society.
The Strategic Framework reflects extensive consultation across our academic and professional community and is informed by Macquarie’s Our University: A Framing of Dynamic Futures. It affirms our enduring purpose: to provide inspiring and engaging business education and research that are impactful for our students throughout their careers and in addressing society’s most pressing challenges.
Through our collective ambition and the strength of our partnerships, we will empower the next generation of innovative, ethical leaders; produce world-class research with meaningful and enduring impact; and cultivate a vibrant and inclusive culture of excellence.
