Associate Professor Shane Magee
Biography
Shane Magee is Associate Professor in Finance and Associate Dean, Curriculum and Learning (Postgraduate) at Macquarie Business School.
Magee is an experienced academic leader and passionate educator with expertise in postgraduate curriculum innovation, student learning and industry-engaged education. He is committed to creating transformative learning experiences that prepare students to thrive in an increasingly complex and dynamic global business environment.
Prior to joining academia, Magee spent more than a decade working in the finance industry, bringing extensive professional expertise and practical insight to his educational leadership. His focus on employability and authentic learning helps strengthen connections between academic study and professional practice.
As Associate Dean, Magee leads curriculum and learning initiatives across the School's postgraduate portfolio, driving curriculum transformation, championing innovative teaching practices and supporting academic teams to deliver high-quality, future-focused education. He works closely with academic leaders and professional staff to enhance the student experience and ensure postgraduate programs remain relevant, impactful and responsive to the evolving needs of industry and society.
