GEILS, Andrew (1773-1843) - Major
Military officer: 73rd Regiment.
Appointed Commandant at Hobart in 1812, but was refused further promotion by Governor Macquarie because of his excessive misuse of Government men and supplies. Served in NSW/VDL: 1811-1814, and Ceylon: 1814-1816.

GEILS, Mary (nee Noble) (c1783-1853)
Wife of Major Andrew Geils. Arrived with her husband and 6 children in Sydney on 2 July 1811. Departed for Ceylon in April 1814 on board the Windham transport. Her four sons were drowned in the shipwreck of the transport Arniston at Cape Agulhas, south Africa, on 30 May 1815.

GLENHOLME, Henry (c.1773-1818) - Captain
Military officer: 73rd Regiment; served in NSW/VDL: 1810-1814, Ceylon: 1814-1818. Died: 1 November 1818, at Kandy.

GORDON, George Alexander - Major
Military officer: 73rd Regiment; served in NSW/VDL: 1810-1814, Commandant at Port Dalrymple from February 1810 - September 1812, Ceylon 1814-1817.

GREENSHIELDS, Andrew (17**-1815) - Lieutenant
Military officer: 73rd Regiment; served in NSW/VDL: 1811-1814, Ceylon: 1814-1815. Died: 31 August 1815 at Ile de France (Mauritius).

GORE, WILLIAM (1765-1845)
Provost-Marshal in NSW.

GUISE, Richard [Snr]. (d.1821)
Former sergeant (NSW Corps).
Owned a farm in the Minto district known as 'Casula'. Died in 1821 and was buried in the new cemetery at Liverpool on 18 April.
