Thursdy. 1st. March —
Mrs. M & Self Planted 4 Oaks in the Garden. —

Wedy. 7th. March 1810 —
Whilst sitting at Dinner about 5. P.M. a report was made of a fire having broken out on bd. the Dromedary – which accident broke up our Party immediately, but fortunately the Fire was extinguished in the course of the Evening. —

Thursdy. 8th. March —
Wrote of this date to Lt. Govr. Collins Pr. Ship Union for the Derwent wt. 60 Convicts for that Settlement, guarded by a Party of 73d. Regt.

Saty. 10th. March —
The Brig Trial arrived from Port Dalrymple with the Relief from thence.
N.B. There were no less than 12 Ships and Square Rigged Vessels in the Harbour of Port Jackson on this day. —

Sunday 11th. March —
The Ship Union Sailed this morning for the Derwent. —

Saturday 17th. March! —
This being S. Patrick's Day Mrs. M. gave a Dinner to all the Convicts employed at work about the Govt. House, Garden, Boats & making New Road – in all 58 Persons – including Overseers! —

Govr. Bligh set out this morning for the Hawkesbury.

Sunday 18th. March 1810! —
Lt. Col: Foveaux & Lt. Finucane of the 102d. Regt. sailed this morning in the Brig Experiment for England – intending to touch at New Zealand. — I sent my Public Dispatches for the Secry. of State & for The Comr. in Chief – and several Private Letters for Friends at home Pr. Col: Foveaux. —

Monday 19th. —
The Ship Simon Cock Capt. Penson (& Mr. Brookes as Owner) anchored in the Harbour from England wt. Sundry Merchandise.

Thursday 22d. —
The Colonial Vessel Sally sailed for the Coal River wt. Lt. Purcell & Detachmt. of 73d. to relieve the 102d. Detachment there. —

Mondy. 26th. March —
I went up wt. Mrs. M. & Mrs. Putland to Parramatta – and following day visited Castle–Hill, and Baulkham Hills Districts. —

Tuesdy. 27th. —
The Brig Star, Capt. Wilkins arrived from off New Zealand .

The Governor Bligh Schooner sailed for N. Zealand – by which I wrote to Lt. Col: Foveaux. —

Wedy. 28th.
I returned wt. Mrs. M. from Parramatta. —

Saty. 31st.
Went wt. Mrs. M. to Parramatta to meet Govr. B.
