Monday 4th. June 1810! —
This being the anniversary of H.M. Birth Day, the same was kept & observed with all due respect & solemnity: – 81 Persons dined at the Government House; – Mrs. M., Mrs. O'C, Mrs. Bent & Mrs. Murray being the only Ladies present on the occasion.

Tuesdy. 5th. June!
I went to Church to direct some alterations in it – and to make a proper distribution of the Pews for Private Families, after marking out those for the Public Departments of Government. —

Thursdy. 14th. June! —
James Hutchinson, a Convict under Sentence of Death for Burglary – and who was to have been executed on the following morning, made his escape out of Jail this Evening about ½ past 5,O'Clock, in a most unaccountable manner, being in Irons – and lodged in one of the Cells!!! —

Tuesdy. 19th. June!
The Ship Ann Capt. Clarke sailed this morning for Bengal. — The Colonial Ship King George with Capt. Murray & his Compy. for Hobart Town, sailed out of the Cove for the Derwent in Van Diemen's Land. — The Prisoners Terrence Flynn and Job Stokes – both under sentence of Death, the former for Murder the latter for Burglary at the Derwent, were sent thither in the King George to be executed. —

The Convict James Davis tried at last Court for Burglary and an assault at Portland Head & found guilty thereof was Executed there this day pursuant to his Sentence. —

Wedy. 27th. June. —
The Brig Concord commanded by Capt. Garbutt arrived this afternoon from England which she left on the 14th. of January last. —

N.B. The Concord is Private Property – and laden only with Dry Goods. — I recd. no Private Letters from my Friends at home by this opportunity excepting one from Majr. Genl. Cliffe. —
