Apl. 6.
Wednesday! — We crossed the Line again this day in West Long. 22.° 9.' — It is this Day 3 months since we left Bombay! — We are now favored with the S.E. Trade Wind. —

Apl. 13.
Wednesday! — We have got now into the regular N.E. Trade, and are making very good progress in our Voyage.

I have this day laid a Bet of Two Guineas with Major Heath that some one would land in England from the Hughes on or before the 15th. of next month!!! —

Apl. 27.
Wednesday! — At Noon today we were in Latd. 40.° 28.' North, and in 32.° 35.' West Longitude; being 34 miles North and 72 miles West of the Island of Corvo - the most Northern as well as westernmost of all the "Western Isles". — The weather is piercing cold; the wind however is favorable, and we are making great progress in our Voyage to old England! —
