Saturday! — I wrote this day to my good worthy and much esteemed Friend Colonel Cliffe the King's Adjt. Genl. in India, addressing him at Madras, where he is to touch soon on his way Home from Bengal to England, along with his friend and Patron Genl. Sir Alured Clarke. — I have sent Colonel Cliffe a Bombay Kalendar for the present Year this day Published; and I have requested of him to correspond with me from England, promising him my own correspondence in return. —

Feby. 28.
Saturday! — The Teignmouth Cruizer sailed this day for the Red Sea, and on board of which Colonel John Murray to resume his former situation there as Commissioner from The Honble. East India Company to the Native Princes and States of Arabia on the Shores of the Red Sea. —

I wrote Letters by Col: Murray to my Brother Charles, in case he should happen to have a communication with Sir Ralph Abercromby's Army after its arrival in Egypt. —

I also sent Letters by Col: Murray to Capt. Hardyman of La Forte, and to Lt. Col: Lloyd 86th. Regt. —
