I wrote of this date to my Brother in law Lieut. Geo. R. P. Jarvis 36th. Regt. congratulating him on his late Promotion to a Lieutenancy. —

The following Friends dined with us on the 12th. Instant – vizt. Mrs. Taswell, Miss Pittman, Revd. Mr. Burrowes, Mrs. Weston, Miss Linn, Lt. Weston, Mr. Weston Jnr., Doctor James, Capt. Mc.Intosh, Lt. Geo. Gordon, Lt. Tucker, Doctor Anderson, Mr. Reeves, and Mr. Morley.
