The Ponsborne Indiaman returned to Bombay; — Capt. Whitelocke returned in her in very good Health. —

Decr. 30.
Wednesday. The Winterton East Indiaman Capt. Geo. Dundas sailed this day for England; — I wrote letters of date 25th. Instant by her to my Friends at home vizt. Uncle Lochbuy, Aunt Mrs. Mc.Laine, Broyr. Chas.; Genl. Maclean, Mrs. Mc.Laine Scallastle, Mr. Mc.Lean of Laggan, Capt. Lundin of Auchtermeiny, Capt. Duncanson 77th. Regt., and Macquarie of that Ilk.

Many Passengers went in the Winterton; among the rest Capt. Spry and Mrs. Weston of the 77th. Regt.; I gave letters of Introduction for my Uncle and Broyr. to my Friend Mr. Jno. Cameron 3d. Mate of the Winterton to whom I have promised to write by the Ponsborne; directing "at the Jerusalem Coffee House."
