Learning and Teaching Workshop Booking

Teaching with Tablets

Description:

Since 2010 when the first tablet hit the market, this technology is reshaping the way users interact with computers. The availability of applications for different platforms are making a tablet computer to become ‘a thousand devices in one’. Additionally, the vast offer of brands and price range are making a quick adoption by academics and students. Tablet computers are as a way to manage and enhance teaching activities and further engage students in authentic tasks, improve research and collaboration, enhance conference attendance and, in general, to increase productivity.

This hands-on workshop aims to showcase the potential use of applications in higher education and how tablet computers can enhance academic productivity.

Note: A tablet is not required to participate, but if you have a tablet, please bring it along with you.
