Foundations in Learning and Teaching (FILT) - Continuous - CANCELLED
The Foundations in Learning and Teaching (FILT) program aims to provide Macquarie staff who are either new to teaching or who want to explore aspects of learning and teaching practice, with the knowledge and skills to enable them to operate as effective teachers. The theory-based program offers a practical, interactive and experiential approach to assist participants in their teaching at Macquarie. Specifically, it aims to introduce participants to:
Participants are required to attend all modules of the program. Those who have satisfied all requirements of the program have the opportunity to articulate into the Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (Learning and Teaching specialisation) if they complete further activities and assessment tasks.
FILT is offered in three modes: block, continuous and online.
Continuous mode consists of five modules offered over 9 sessions taught face to face with ongoing support for reflection between each of the sessions, which is facilitated through ilearn. Session 1, 2015 dates are:
